This line of disposable vape products targets a rebellious and edgy consumer base. Given the challenge of packaging regulations and a saturated market, we faced several constraints: mandatory regulatory requirements covering half of the front display area, illustrations or flavour names related to candy or beverages that could attract minors were prohibited.
To navigate the packaging challenges, we developed a distinctive colour-coding system to help consumers easily identify flavour categories. This actually made Flavour Beast stand out on shelves. Having sections of our colour system made it unique from the competition. We used a red background for beverages, grey background for fruit flavours, and neon yellow background for candy flavours, while getting creative with the flavour names to stay compliant with regulations.
Another huge hurdle was having only a few weeks to design all brand assets for this product launch which included branding, package design, product design, print and digital marketing collateral for both B2C and B2B channels. Flavour Beast became one of the top selling disposable vape brands in Canada.
